Okay, I broke my pullstart cord right after I got to the park today. I have rewound the spring and fed a little more string through the hole, how do you get the inner part of the spring to slip over the collar where the shaft goes through?

Its called "Buy another pull start". Mine went out on my Mammoth pretty early. The Ofna pullstarts fit and are better quality.

You will go crazy trying to put it back together, just to have it break again.

if its just slipping, you probable got some oil on the one-way bearing, take it off and clean it

RE: HELP on pullstsart!

Not slipping, string broke right at the handle end but, taking it apart was easy. No way to easily get the coil spring back over the collar so the spool w/ the string sits flush to the back of the coil housing....[>:][>:][>:]
