Savage diff mod

I'm doing the four gear diff mod on my savage and this is the diff lube I bought. I want to know which to use in the front and rear. Thanks. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFTY1&P=7

What do you plan on doing bashing, racing? Well if your bashing i would go with 10k front and rear. Don't know about racing cause i personally dont race.

you will get more acceleration out of the corner with the 300k in front cause the thicker oil will keep the inside wheel from spining, but at the same time you will lose a little on power steering(out of a corner). if you put the 300k oil in the rear, you woll have more steering out of the corner, possibly to much, causing a spin.

RE: Savage diff mod

i use 300k all around with the spyder mod.

but then again, i only use it for wheelies, wheelies, and climbing lol.

if you're racing, use slightly thinner oil up front than in the rear for more cornering.

o, btw, on savage-central.com they list a bunch of mods that will help you become a true basher or racer. i use the same name on that forum, if you have probs PM me.
