Need Help

I was looking at the CEN Genesis .46 and Losi LST. Each have their pros and cons. Can't decide whitch to get. Anyone have any ideas?

RE: Need Help

Here is my take on it. The Genesis has the WOW factor. Its got a .46 sized engine, and its huge. Visually impressive. Bad thing is, that engine is most likely the only engine you'll ever put in it. So i hope you like it. Its not a standard size engine, so dont keep your hopes up for an aftermarket replacement for that truck. I still like the truck. Visually a total monster, and impressive. I've read alot of people talking about the HIGH cost of replacement parts. Thats bad in any situation. You WILL break parts, thats a given with ANY RC. I confirmed these high costs by checking prices on the net. They did seem high. I believe i found the parts at RCmodels.com. The Genesis has a very small aftermarket following, but it does exist. The LST on the other hand is without a doubt growing popular like a wildfire. I know this, because i see new owners at my local track all the time. It has a VERY fast growing aftermarket, and Losi supports it extremely well. Its also a nice truck to run on a track. It also uses the standard size big block, which leaves you MANY options. With all that said, i have even thought about the Genesis myself. However, if i were to choose one, it would be the LST.

Thanks for the help. I also heard about a washer that they put in the engine for the electric start and it ruins the engine. What's with that?

There's a "sticky" in the LST forum with a picture of my grubby finger holding the offending piece plus discussion on hows and whys .

Hope this helps

make sure you get the lst with the 75 mhz band controller, cause it has many more synthisized channels than the 27 mhz band controller.;)

RE: Need Help

Does anyone have any other tips? Or is that it? How many frequencies does the 75mhz have? Also, is the Revo any better?

Just wondering

My experience is that the Revo is better overall. They are my 2 favorite MT's currently.

If I wasn't so obsessed with the e-lst project I'd probably buy a revo as a second truck. Two of my friends have one and they;re a blast to drive and handle extremely well particularly when you put the long arms on

RE: Need Help

Is the revo better than the HPI Savage .25? Also, is the revo for offroad racing or bashing around? How good is it on road? Does it last long, or break?

What are planing on doing with your MT? If your just going to bash it in the backyard then a Savage is a good choice but, if you want to race it then get the Revo! Have you gone to your Local Hobby Shop lately? If not then go see these trucks up close then it will be a little less difficult to make up your mind.
