hi guys just brought my boy a tnx and managed to break it for him before he got a go was trying to break the new engine in but having trouble keeping the engine going seemed to be reving up and down and had fuel coming out of the exchaust while it was runing then would just stall......then when i tryed to start it the electric starter was turning but not the engine...had a look and found the damper rubbers have disintregrated....i,m a complete newbie to these machines wot did i do wrong thanks in advance

i would recomend geting a pullstart or a roto start, what you should do is take it too you local hobby shop and ask them to help you tune it. check you carb and see if you running on factor specs, and check the idle screw and check to see your idles right, then also check the glow plug it might be bad already

i tihnk its running to rish, and therefore alot of fuel+oil coming into the elecstarter. Thats making it slip. And for those rubberdampers..well id go for a pull, or roto start. in your cse id take a roto, its petty easy. Go to the LHS and let them do it for you. I think thats the safest thing to do.

i also thin it was too rich and the idle set to high.... Then it stalled and the engine was flooded and the tamiya dampers didnt take the load.
