Experience Level?
I'm just interested in how experienced every one is. I don't mean anything by it.
Because I'm 15 and have 10+ years under my belt. |
RE: Experience Level?

My first car was a old old nitro car.
Once you had it started the only control you had was a steerring if that. It was my dads and he thought i was old enough to give it a try. I'm so thankful for him because i have come a far far way since that nitro car. |
RE: Experience Level?
One of our club members lets his 6 yo race an LST2. We had to take him out of Jr novice class because he was kicking tail on kids twice his age! At 6, he is somewhere in between the Jr novices and the adult novices. He'll be scary in a couple of years. He started racing last year with an electric - I think it was a Rusty.
Like others have said, experience doesn't always mean competence: original: Aldous Huxley Experience teaches only the teachable. |

First nitro was a Kyosho Outlaw Rampage.... remember that one? ..... still not an expert though, just well read:eek:

RE: Experience Level?
Im 16 and ive got about 3 years experiance. my first car was a kyosho ultima RB which i have only just restored to its original setup. At one point i went mad and put a fitted a S25 nitrostar in the little buggy, this wasnt the best idea as the buggy only weighs 3Lb so all that power made it quite uncontrolable. I have now also a cen st2 and a STS.28 powerd savage.

I've been in and out of the hobby a couple of times (Damn thing keeps pullin' me and my wallet back) so over 10years i think i've gained maybe 3-4years of direct hands on wrenching/driving. Although have helped friends and lurked on forums at all times. I (like to) think i'm moderately Knowledgeable :D

I'm 33 and have been at this for 6 months. My girlfriends kid is 6 and he's a good driver. I let him drive my mgt, it's got a picco 27 on it and he keeps good control of both throttle and steering. I got e revo for his mom and he has no problem with that. We got him an xxxt sport and he loves that. Good driver.
