installing shock covers?

i have some sets of shock covers to go on my trucks, like these:

anyone have them, or come up with an easy technique for putting them on? i tried the simple twist on, and it always gets snagged. any idea?

I have not tried it but this sounds like it would work.

thanks for the link. i hardly ever read an entire listing, especially for something as "untechnological" as these covers:D
i'm gonna read through that now.

right now, i only have them on the front of my Evader, and that took me about 1/2 hour and some sore fingers. i have a bag full of them to go on the other trucks.

Glad I could help.

I was just checking them out for my car and spotted it. I am still a noob so I look for all the info I can find.

Let me know if that method works and what you think of them once you have had a chance to really use them.

RE: installing shock covers?

Here's what I did: Cut a piece of paper about an inch longer than the spring and wrap it around the spring (going slightly over 2 rounds), slide the shock cover over the paper wrapped spring, then pull out the paper (hold onto the portion where it overlaps) from one end while holding onto the spring and shock cover on the other end. Reuse the paper with the remaining springs.
