pull-starter quit working...
 

I have a Savage 21 and my pull starter quit returning. I was pulling just like usual, and on one pull, it just quit going back in. Then, as I pulled it lightly to see if it would retrieve, it just kept coming out but not returning. Please, help, anyone? :confused:

mine did that also. but it was on a car i don't know if there is a difference and all i did was spin the flywheel and it just sucked it back in. Sorry if it doesn't work

i'm sure either the spring became unwound, or it broke.you will have to take it apart and rewind it, or replace it

Ok the spring is broke or unwond(get a new pull strat youll never get it back in!) the nut is stripped($15-$20) or the shaft is broke($40-$50)
