re: receiver battery?
WELL IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW SET UP YOU CAN MAKE ROOM FOR A BIGGER RX PACK BY SIMPLY MOVING YOUR GAS TANK TO THE FRONT OF THE CHASSIS WHERE THE RECEIVER IS LOCATED AND PUT THE RECEIVER WHERE THE GAS TANK IS...........THERE ARE 2 REASONS HAT I FOUND FOR DOING THIS
1 YOU WIND UP WITH MORE ROOM FOR A LARGER BATTERY FOR YOU RECEIVER AND SERVOS................ AND 2 IT PUTS ALL THE SLOP ON ONE SIDE OF THE CHASSIS WHILE MAKING ROUTING OF THE SERVO WIRES AND CONNECTIONS EASIER TO DEAL WITH ..........AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS DRILL 5 NEW HOLES FOR MOUNTING OF BOTH........... O YAH THERE IS ANOTHER REASON FOR DOING THIS ............IT WILL SAVE YOU THE HASSLE OFTRYING TO REPLACE THE SPUR GEAR IF YOU SHOULD HAPPEN TO STRIPP IT..........AND IT MOVES THE WEIGHT OF THE FUEL ONTO THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE TRUCK................. THE FRONT WHEELS I KNOW THIS IS A FAR CRY FROM YOUR QUESTION BUT TO GET BACK TO THAT............ I WOULD PICK UP A SET OF ORION 2700 MAH AND ASSEMBLE A 4 CELL RECEIVER PACKWITH DEANS CONNECTORS TO SUPPLY YOUR RECEIVER WITH POWER AND WITH THIS SET UP IT WORKS KILLER |

Does the orion setup last long? I just put a venom 1100 mah 6 volt in my t-maxx..... great response but the juice ran out way too quick. two of them ran out in only 1 1/2 tanks.

RE: re: receiver battery?
you want a 6v(5 cell) rx pack not a 4.8v(4 cell) the servos will be severely under powered and the 2700 mah cells he was talking about are the sub C size
