Good tip
 

Hey guys i was working on my truck today and i was trying to put the motor mount screw in but the angle i was working at the screw would keep falling off the allen wrench. so i faught with it and faught with is untill i got an idea, i dug out my magnet tray andi stuck the tip of the steel allen screw to the magne and then the screw stuck to the allen wrench beacause it was magnatized. i know im no genious but i thought it worked great just passing it on to you guys. it works really good where the screw is in a tight spot. tell me what you guys think of the tip??

Yeah, works nicely.. I've always rode my screwdriver ([X(]) across a electric motors endbell, works good!

ya i am always going to do it now it works so good to bad all screws arent steel haha

That's an old, old, old trick. My father taught it to me back in 1965 or so when I was 10. It's great for retrieving that dropped part that falls into a hard to reach spot too.
Just rub the tip of a screwdriver across a magnet a few times and it will pick up most small parts. The stronger the magnet you run across the stronger the screwdriver will be magnetized.
If you want to minimize lost parts put a magnet in a small metal dish (like an altoid tin) and drop your screws in there, they will stay put.
And if you want a really strong magnet, take apart an old computer hard drive. There's usually 1 or 2 really strong ones in there.
