hi, how would i change the color of my heatsink? if possible. would i paint it or what?

Aren't most heatsinks made of aluminum? If so, you would have to anodize it in order to make the color stay. Of course I really don't know, but I do think that paint would decrease the heatsinks ability to dissapate heat.

Almost all heatsinks are made of machined aluminum. Through a chemical process involving acids and electricity a color is bonded to the aluminum. This is andonizing. The only way to change color is to strip the current color off and re-andonzie the head with the new color.

By painting on a heatsink, you might be able to witness a spectacle... called the sizzling effect... BBQ anyone??
