Suggestions for a Steering Servo
I bought a Savage about a week ago, and after driving it for a few days, I managed to strip a gear in the steering servo (I'm not even sure how I did it, because I didn't have any bad wrecks) Regardless, I took the servo apart and turned the stripped gear 180 degrees and removed the broken teeth. This has fixed the problem, but I'm concerned that it will happen again soon, What are your suggestions for a metal-geared, strong steering servo?
Thanks in advance... |

I put the Hobbico CS-70MG high torque servo in my T-Maxx. The factory servo would barely turn the tires at a stand still, this one turns them stop to stop no problem. It's torque rating is 106 in. oz. at 4.8 volts. Tower sells it for $40, and their part number is LXANT4.

I know of people using hitec 645MGs and they like them. they are not as fast as some others but have tons of torque.
I have two on order for my savage (getting ready for that 4x4x4 mod) so we will see what comes of it. |
