Starter issue (need help)
 

I am totally frustrated. I have an SH .28 with a roto start. The starter began to slip so I took it apart and cleaned the bearing and the shaft, no luck. I replaced the one way needle bearing, No luck. Now I have relaced the starter shaft along with the bearing and it is still slipping. If I turn it by hand (little wrench on the shaft) it will crank but as soon as I hit it with the starter NOTHING.
I have taken it apart about.......oh......100 times and still cant figure it out. What am I doing?[>:][&o][:@]

Its just because the excess fuel gets to the bearing before the motor starts and burns it off. One thing you can do is heat up the motor with a blow dryer for about 2 or 3 minutes. That will expand the metal a little and help the bearing grab the starter shaft.

You know there is always an upside to everything, in this case you will know how to pull it apart and put it back together in your sleep;) I know how you feel and I'm sorry but I can't help you, but I am sure someone will, regards.

Are you certain it's the OWB slipping on the starter shaft and not something within the roto-start itself which is faulty?

Also what fuel are you using, as fuels with higher oil content are more likely to cause slippage...

I am using Monster Brew 20%. I dont know what else would be turning there are only 2 gears inside of it?
