hello there to the masses...does anyone have any experience or knowledge on a XTM .21 PRO? Are they good engines for a TMAXX? If so, is it a will it fit in the older TMAXX?

I don't own a T-Maxx or have any experience with one, but I do read a lot of posts in this forum and one engine that keeps popping up as a good replacement engine for the T-Maxx is the Sirio .18. Big assed wheelies I think are the order of the day.
Also the OFNA hyper .21 is good but I'm not sure what mods are required. I'm pretty sure the Sirio is a straight replacement. |
The Sirio is (I think) the only drop in engine!
For the 2.5 Maxx. And from what I have read a great engine at that! All other .21's you will need a conversion kit! XTM,Hardcore and New era make good kits. It just depends on how much you want to spend! :D

If you go with the Sirio or TRX 2.5 and have an old T-Maxx, you would need the conversion kit ( around $40- $50). I learned the hard way. I converted an old T-Maxx with an OS15-cvx engine and had to buy alot of parts, ie throttle servo post, clutch nut, starting system ( do you want pullstart, ezstart or bump start), exhaust for that engine & so forth. So be careful. If you want to upgrade to wider suspension also drop me an e-mail.

Thanks guys for the replies...I was ready to buy the converion kit at the same time...found a few XTM .21 PRO's on Ebay for under $70.00 and was wondering if it was a good buy..
