Oh no no no.....I thought we were over all that. This is no place for "The Losi Version"

You like this but want something alittle different just sit pretty and wait for the Slayer. You'll be saying "Losi who?" or " Lucy.....You got som splaining to do"

Lol..Well it is still all just 1/10th electric corr racing. 1/8th scale would be even sicker!

Yeah it seems to have kinda exploded already. They really are fun trucks and work very well for their price.

Great stuff. Very refreshing, the hobby needed this.

Lol, at 22.3 inches long, how much bigger do the trucks have to be to be considered 1/8th? The Slayer is just a Revo with different arms, and is actually slightly shorter than the slash.

Yeah, that's true. HPI's 1/8 is Traxxas' 1/10 pretty much.

When Traxxas makes their "1/8th" it will be considerd a 1/5th to everyone else lol

I just compaired specs of the Slash / Slayer. Over all length is the same at 568mm. Track width both 296mm. Slayer is 7mm taller, or about 1/4" and wheel base is 12mm shorter or about 1/2"

I also checked out Revo specs and the 3.3, 2.5r, and platnum. Seems Slayer WB is between the 3.3 and the 2.5r. It probably uses the 3.3 chassis. With your caster angle....cutting the a-arms down will bring the WB in is my guess.

SCALE? If you go by scaling the CORR Regulations Max and Min WB....the Slayer would have to add about 2 inches to WB to be a true 1/8 scale, but buy tooking at the Required Track Width it is sitting at 1/8 scale. Regs say 93 inch TW divided by 8 is 11.6 inches which is about right. I think by these standard if Traxxas would have used the Platnum chassis it would qualify as 1/8 scale. Now all this is in respect to WB an TW and accual body size hasn't been considered here.

The Slayer uses the revo 2.5 chassis.

RE: SLASHES GONE WILD!

It looks actaully right on with the 2.5 revo chassis. And if they made it with the 3.3 chassis it probably wouldnt jump correctly. It has to do with the smaller tries used on the slayer compared to the larger on the revo's. With less rotating mass you get less pull in the front end. I know with my revo exerience if your not on throttle with lower speeds the revo will nose dive with the longer 3.3 chassis. The bigger tires help stablize the front end with a longer chassis.

The slayer would need a bigger body anyways to fit the 3.3 chassis and I am sure it would be hard to keep the nose up.

Wonder how hard the Slayer is gonna take off...and if that robitronics truck would be a competitor...

And with the size of the Slayer, how far behind is Traxxas with a Revo-based 1/8 buggy with a TRX 3.5?
