Quick question on XTM X-Factor reversing
My friend just picked up a used X-Factor (1st one) with extremely low mileage. The original owner had no other R/Cs & couldn't figure out how to reset a servo saver plus didn't realize the receiver batteries needed changed occasionally. That being said he probobly didn't switch radios. The engine runs great & all electronics work. Here's my problem.... How do I reverse it from the controller? Forward & reverse work on the truck but I can't switch it from the controller. As far as I can tell there isn't a switch for reverse. The radio says it's a Hitec Sport LYNX. It has two trim switches, two servo reversing switches, steering wheel, trigger, power switch.

RE: Quick question on XTM X-Factor reversing
We ended up removing the R Box & locking the transmission. It's a temporary fix but it can easily be reversed. We also ran across a manual online that says you have to hold full brake for 3-5 seconds for it to shift. That doesn't work so we're guessing the R Box needs to be reset. We found out how to do that so my friend will set everything back to stock after his servo upgrade comes in.

RE: Quick question on XTM X-Factor reversing
Call me stupid. I keep reading your question and don't understand what you are asking. Are you wanting to reverse servo direction from the transmitter that you said you can see the servo reversing switch on?? Or are you wanting to shift the vehical into reverse? To shift into reverse the tranny has to have the reverse gear module and 3rd servo. To controll the 3rd servo with a 2 channel radio the truck has to have a 3rd ch controll chip. When you hold the brake for so long then 3 will shift to rev. Hold brake again to shift back to forward.
Let me know if you need any of these components. I have some spare parts to get rid of |
RE: Quick question on XTM X-Factor reversing
I use the R-Box on my Raminator. When you hold full brake for 3-5 seconds (time depends on radio used) it will engage the reverse servo. If it's not working, push the setup button on the r box and then apply full break on the controller and hold it, when the lite changes it's all set.

RE: Quick question on XTM X-Factor reversing
I am the one with the used X Factor that Savage Dias was commenting on! I figured out the reverse issue! What parts do you have up for grabs? Its an X Factor 1! I emailed global hobby and they have stock on some items but not alot and this truck is for my kid so I figure it is going to endure some damage! Hit me back and let me know! THanks!

RE: Quick question on XTM X-Factor reversing
The original truck did not come with a revers in it, but everything to put a revers in it is still out there. Try [link=http://www.xtm-dealer.com]this guy[/link] I'm sure he has everything accept one gear ;)

RE: Quick question on XTM X-Factor reversing
Has anyone with an XTM X-Factor 1 or 2 noticed that on Global Hobbies page, that the products listed no longer say "limited stock" etc? I recently lost a simple screw and went to the site and emailed them, only to find the part is no longer available! I have what I believe is a suitable alternative on its way but a lot of the parts showed that they had limited stock! That was as of yesterday but today that all changed! I am just wondering since the trucks are no longer available and they aren't necessarily making parts what gives! Anyone with answers hit me back! Thanks[X(]
