Setup for jumping??
 

What is the best setup for jumping as far as how soft or stiff the shocks should be and where should they be positioned on the A-arms??

P.S. I am going to a BMX track that has 5-6 foot jumps and lots of them! I could be getting air as high as 10ft or more! :D I hope anyway! ;)

I run on a crazy track like that, with 5' table tops, 4-5' doubles 10' long, and get 10+ air off of the doubles at 3/4 throttle.

The best thing you can do is to stick 60+ shock oil in, and put some heavy duty springs on or add another spacer per shock!! My shocks run at about a 55 degree angle. This truck will fly strait and true with this setup, but Ive also got the weight pretty much evened out. Now the one thing to remember on these kinda tracks is bring lots of spairs, because you will tumble you truck, and unless everything is up to par, you will break something if you going for 10' jumps, and if you are still eunning those 3.5 punisher turnbuckles with stock ball ends, make sure you run a bead of super glue around the threads, or you will probably end up looseing a few rod ends!!

I have some 70wt. oil that I could put in them (they have 35wt. in them now) and I have the heavy springs! I have after market aluminum threaded shock so adjustments are easy! Thanks for the tip for the turnbuckles! I have run this track before but never hit the big jumps because I did not want to break anything but, I have enough spare parts to build 2 more trucks now!LOL I am going to take some pics this time and maybe some video! ;)

Like I said before your only worries will be with the rod ends, make sure they are set right then just run some glue around the threads and that should hold them in place!!
