Need Suggestions...

I want to get involved with rc trucks but i don't know much about them. I have been flying rc airplanes for a short time and a big difference i have found between battery powered and nitro is that performance with a battery decreases over time, so i'm guessing that will pretty much be the same with trucks as with airplanes. So i guess my question is what do you suggest would be a solid truck to start with?

Well the HPI savage X and Xl are known for being great bashers and really reliable.MGT 8.0 would be another contender, same with the MMGT. I've also heard good things about the Aftershock from Losi. You should try to narrow it down and do some research and look for reviews.

The up beat to the nitro in the car or trucks is that it has a much longer life than the battery, down fall if you want to call it that is electric is much faster [:o] Another up beat thing to the Nitro is you can run virtually none stop without bad side effects. Not so with electrical. A well tuned Nitro doesn't need to stop and cool down like a High powered electric truck :D and the big plus is you get to HEAR IT RUN :D Electric cars and trucks to me is like watching NASCAR on mute. The roar of even that little engine can be inspiring far beyond the visual of a fast moving toy [:-] Good luck with your new adventure into the ground version of RC

HAPPY RC'en

oops [X(] I almost forgot there are batteries on the nitro for the TX and RX/ servos, but they last for hours if you use the right combination. Without ill effects [&o]

As for what to get the opinions will vary according to who likes what there playing with at the time, opinions are like (+) and everyone has one. LHS should be your guide, because there the ones who will ultimately support you with parts and knowledge. There are a few on line stores that offer more than just product :D

Get the new Losi XXL. Will be out soon - Spektrum radio with telemetry, will be very fast, and there are plenty of LST2 parts out there...

Nitro is the way to go, im only twelve and i can tell you nitro is great
I started out with the Traxxas Nitro Stampede, and the vehicle is awsome.
Plus, once you get bored with the speed, upgrading could be as easy as getting a new exhaust system
NITRO IS THE WAY
