i want a off road nitro truck thats under $600. also i want it rtr cause i dont know much about this hobby.a buddy of mine has a revo and i want something that can keep up. im considering a few trucks. to name a few the revo 3.3, associated 1/8 monster gt and the t maxx. if theres better options in this price range im open for suggestions. all im gonna be doing is racing my buddy and messin around in the yard. also any tips for a first timer would be great. thanks

whats the difference in the revo and the t maxx?

The suspension is different. Revo has 4 smaller shocks mounted within the frame. It is more suited for a race track. The tmaxx has 8 shocks and is more suited for general bashing-jumping.

I would go with a HPI Savage X. It is a super tough truck.

+1 for a Savage, you wont regret buying one.

the savage is nice, bigger than t-maxx or revo, and arguably better-built out of the box. if you're on a track and your friend is a good driver, you prolly won't keep up (revo is a pretty dominant track truck), but otherwise you'll be fine. i love driving savages

Out of the box, an XXL will outrun and out handle a Savage....I think their durability is about equal...

yup go for the Losi XXL.  Faster and handles better than a savage and is just as durable
