Savage Shocks
Does ne1 know if the hot bodies savage aluminum threaded shock MegaNitro part #HB61161 are good? R they strong?

Savage Shocks
i heard the shafts are weak and bend easy. The guys that i know that run them put the stock shafts in them...

cemeb4dk is right on the money!!
The only thing i like alum shock (functionally) is the thread preload adjustments. I someone would do this on plastic shocks, i'd never buy an alum shock ever, except for a shelf queen) Also i hear the holes are too small in the piston, so error on the side of lighter oil if u use them. |

YES the shocks shafts are weak and bend easy.I replaced mine with the stock shock shafts and they are awesome now.I wish they would just sell the shock bodies. It might have saved me some $$$.

I would go with the Integy shocks. I have them for my Maxx and I love them! very tough so far. Nothing broken or loose. Lots of metal parts, including the bottom spring retainers, and nice orings to seal them for no leaks instead of the crappy bladders HB uses. I have the HB shocks on my Savage and I actually had to silicone the tops on to keep them from leaking all the time. Planning on the Integy ones as soon as my LHS can get them in.

you might be disapointed, even with the integy.
you can't really compare T-Maxx shock and Savage shock. Savage shock are VERY long and it put a whole load of stress on the main shock rod.... I would wait for bigger diameter shock rod. and if you really want to have the integy, I suggest you buy alum shock tower. It will allow way less deflection on the tower, thus leading for less deformation and stress on the shock rod. Only my 0.02 Euro DFF |
Savage Shocks
Already got the aluminum towers on it now :D

Savage Shocks
wait for bigger shocks:)

Can't, I'm too impatient..lol :D I love these Integy's on my Maxx and I just got to try the Savage ones.
