Basically it's like riding a bicycle, as long as you keep on going at a pretty decent speed it will stay upright. When you turn you are only controlling the amount of lean. Your turning radius will depend on this angle of lean AND your speed. That's what makes racing these bikes so difficult because you have to plan considerably ahead before making the turn.

The tires on a the vintage kyosho yamaha are actually bald tires with a nobby slip cover that is glued onto them.

I bid on one had it up to $600 and that was to rich for me.

Most of the auctions if you look closely have bald tires hard to find the Nobby's that are not dry rotted.

Radio Shack had the Ricky Carmichael Bike fairly large bike and the frame is aluminum. Can find them on ebay for about $100 . They sold last christmas and I dont know if they continued production. Its belt drive I believe. As to find chains and sprockets check wwwgrainger industrial machines still use small sprockets and chains.

if you would like to see the type of sled im modeling after go to www.crazymnt.com..
all i can say at this point is that it looks so realistic it's not even funny.

Dirt bike option are pretty much limited to old ones you can find on ebay and the Ricky Charmichael bike from Radio Shack. Those are on ebay all the time. Some guys have made great improvements to them so they don't break parts so much and put in standard electronics or nitro engines.

For a snowmobile check out Jordan Krupp's site. I think the bandwidth for his site has been reached for the moment but keep checking back. He makes them.

Do you guys know of a site that deals with upgrading the Ricky Carmichael rc dirt bike? Me son has one and I would love to change the front and read shocks.

No gyros are necessary, however there is one inside the rear wheel of the Ricky Carmichael off-road bike.
