RE: New DX450 Motorcycle
$5.00 a pop for pics and $22.50 per vid!
Nah seriously just got mine and right out of the box it was fun.
I put a battery in it and put on the bars and we ran it without any adjustments.
Needless to say I'm rather impressed with this thing. Seems like an RTR to me.
Can't wait til I get it tuned to race spec.
Good job Duratrax...

RE: New DX450 Motorcycle
I got mine today and it is truly ready to run out of the box, not counting the rider assembly.
I put in a DuraTrax 4000 lipo and it will pull wheelies on command or even if you don't want to if your not careful with trigger control.
Estimated speed is under 30mph. I'm going to strap on my little GPS as soon as I get a chance.
It's no slouch, it gets up and goes. I was very impressed on the quality and how well it does what it does.
The gyro is just out of this world. Even with acceleration head shake the gyro just kept the bike stable and smooth. In fact it's just too easy to drive, and it can take a lickin and keep on tickin...
With a little suspension tuning and a few tweaks this bike will be unreal.
DuraTrax built a winner with this bike.

RE: New DX450 Motorcycle
It's a 7.4 2S. I'm aware of the nitro ARX. The ARX nitro or electric is 1/4 scale the DX450 is 1/5 scale and the accepted standard [8D]
I'll never go back to nitro, brushless and lipo batteries rule

RE: New DX450 Motorcycle
I never liked that big dorky looking rider on the DX 450 or M5.
So this is how my yellow DX 450 gets ridden.
I'm going to paint the yellow uniform on another rider red for my red DX 450.
The rider's cool, the clothes are real cloth and he's fully poseable.
This guy adds a real nice scale look to a nice bike. The stock rider is still new in the bag...

looks good where are the videos of this bike?

RE: New DX450 Motorcycle
My LHS has a couple of cases of these.
I think he wants like $50 shipped. Not bad when you think that a 1/5 optional lexan rider alone is $35. For $50 you get a brand new in the box complete RTR bike with rider. A simple 5 minute modification to widen the Sparc riders legs to sit on the DX450 is all that needs to be done.
My next thing to do is take the detailed engine on the SPARC bike and stick it to the side of the DX450 and really make it look scale with the engine instead of the open frame work.

RE: New DX450 Motorcycle
I apologize for that poor choice of words. I meant a "more popular size" a very popular standard for larger scale road racing. Everyone has the choice of 1/8 - 1/5 or 1/4 scale. [8D]
