RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle
We have an unpainted rider figure as well so you can do any color scheme you like with a clear body set. You have to use paint for urathane foam or a urethane based paint. The stock rider foam paint is very durable and holds up to quit a bit of abuse. The figure is very light too.
The RTR kits are shipping as we speak so we expect arrival very soon in early October. I hope to see a bunch of videos and pics online of people racing and having fun, I cant wait! There are so many option parts for it you can set it up however you like. Chris |
RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle
This arrival you speak of... will this be to hobby shops or to the distributor? And early october being the first week or two????
|
RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle
The product will arrive here at that time lets say mid Oct and then from there the delivery time will vary depending on how far your dealer is from us. If ordering direct then you will probably get yours a little sooner than others will going through a store.

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle
Ah well I guess im going to be waiting a lil longer then since its either coming through GP or Horizon since I know my boss special ordered it through both. I guess I can wait tho its only a few weeks more. O and are the option parts for it gonna be in stock when the bike is available Everytime I go on GP i notice the option parts avail. date matches the new expected arrival date for the bike itself.

I was just looking over the replacement parts on venoms site. We could have built a bike by the time the rtr came in.
Just a thought. Also as of just now checking their site is down. Hmmmmmmmmmm!!!:D Here are some shots Dez took on the track last weekend. http://www.moto-5.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?p=11216#11216 |

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle
Finally its great to see a well designed RC bike out there. I never did care much for venom's stuff mostly because of the helis but I'll deffinatly be getting this bike. My friends and I race 1/18 scale on-road with scale speeds and a scale size track with VERY close competition and we have been looking to do the same with motorcycles for a loooooong time (mostly because 80% of us all ride the real ones). So this bike should fit the bill and I hope we all get them soon. It will be really nice if these bikes are good enough to do what we do with the 1/18 scale on-roads here www.harnoishobby.com

RE: Venom-Racing GPV-1 motorcycle
Unless you run your 1:18 cars on a 1:10 track, I think you'll find the Venom GPV-1 much too big. In fact, the smallest track we race our 1:5-scale bikes on is a 1:8-scale car track, but we usually run with the same program the 1:5-scale cars do. Bikes like to have a lot of room, as they don't turn like cars do. I ran the GPV-1 on a 1:10-touring car track in Camarillo, CA yesterday, and it was perfect. But once we start racing them, I expect we'll be needing a lot of turn marshalls.

We expect the first batch of bikes to arrive the first week of November and then distribution from here to you and dealers will start, I dont have any dates and times for that part, that varies by distance and other factors.
