What scale?

In light of the new venom bike what scale should I be looking at? Are the 1:5 bikes more tollerant of paving issues? How much space do I need for 1:5 versrus 1:8? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Im sure what you mean by "paving issues". I have a 1:5 scale and I make sure to find a place with as much room as posible. A nice empty parking lot should work out fine. watch for speed bumps, unless you want some air time. I quite sure you dont .............

RE: What scale?

We race the 1/5th bikes on 10th scale tracks,They can be run in the street if it empty. The 1/5th also take a good beaten

the smaller bikes only have a small amount of suspention travel and you need as smooth a surface as possable or it just going to pitch off everywhere,

Both scales need some room depending on the motor you put in, I got a 9200 kv in my 1/8th and that needs some room to get up to speed

I was mostly worried about suspension issues, not having access to a prepared race surface. So then I guess I'm leaning towards a thunder tiger bike unless someone can point me towards something else.

RE: What scale?

The TT will handle some ripples on the roads, or there the NF, which is slighty more pricy and not RTR.

You will need a new front tyre if you go for the TTe, The one that comes with the kit is trangler and does not transistion left to right very well.
