Will an MT2 run the OS 18TZ without breaking??? or what all upgrades are needed??????????? id like 2 upgrade 4m d T15 .................................
I have an OS TZ 18 in mine and I am guessing since you have the T15 you have the RTR. Yes it can be done but you will spend more on getting the drive train where it will hold up then what the engine cost. The TZ is really too much for the MT and the CV-R is a better choice and has all the power you will ever need. It took me many hours to get mine where I could even get more then half a tank run through it with out tearing up the drive train.

Hay guys all most at 600 pages keep it going.

that just means you have too much oil in them

lol yea thats what i meant. im just gunna keep it like this.. i like it because i dont have to use as much spacers to make the a arms parallel to the groud. i ken push it in all the way and it just rebounds about half way without the springs... but does it mess up the handling because then u have to fix it

yeah it will make a difference on your handling i think it will be like you have really stiff springs which will cause oversteering

you definately need to drop in an 18ss differential in the back!! but there will be no other problems..

the mt2 can handle the 18tz just fine but the only thing you need to drop in it is at least the rear differential which has to be from 18ss..

here is my truck

mt2 can handle an 18tz but you HAVE to change the rear differential to 18ss otherwise truck wont handle it.

Does anyone knows the MT2 18SS+ 's bevel gears are machined steel or cast steel construction ?

to tell you the truth it barelygot stiffer. it has the same stiffnes as when i had it parallel to the ground before but with way less spacers which i think are better

Man, haven't been on here in ages! Just got my MT2 out today for the first time in about 1 month - have been so busy studying for college!
For a while I have been running Proline moabs on my MT2, but man - they put a lot of stress onto the drivetrain. No breakages, but just sluggish acceleration and useless handling. Top speed is increased, but nope I think I'll go back to the Dirt Bonz.

Changed my fuel to 25% as well - the .18 CV-R loves it and pulls like crazy! She's a pretty quick car now, would keep up with my Savage XSS until it hits 2nd gear!

First i wanted to get the TZ too, but now i got the OS CV-RX, and thrust me, MORE THEN ENOUGH power

I didnt took the TZ cuz i dont want to spend too much money to keep repairing things(altho i got already the mt2 SS version). It still can rip things apart ..

The TZ is a great engine i have too admit, but its is not really made for the MT2. Its made for the REVO .

hello,

i have an MT2 18ss and love it. I am thinking about getting the MT 18ss+. I know it is basically the same car but I would alwayse have spare parts and I love the truck.

I am wondering if I should get something else tho. I want speed (lo and top end), 4wd, durability, agility, off-road and on-road capability and a bash and race worthy truck easy to get parts for. the MT2 18ss does all of these things for me.

Would a buggy meet my needs?

What do Buggys have that the MT2 18ss have?

Monster truck or a Truggys are also an option.

What do you guys think? What would you suggest?
