Default Finally bought one.

Just bougth a Spectrum Tx and Rx for my M8. Ran two tanks through it. I tried to check the range and had a hard time seeing the car before I lost signal. The range is awsome. i also like the fail safe built in, when you shut the radio off then turn it back on it takes just over 2 seconds for it to lock on again. More later. But it is great. I also love that I can keep my antana inside of the body, makes it look alot cleaner.
One of the Reasons I bought it was the Rx units are under $80 were the synthesized Rx's from JR are about the same.

Its too bad these things arent cheap (if you dont have the radio to match up with the spectrum)... but the thought of never crossing another occupied channel sounds good enough for me! This might be too much of a question, but how much did it set you back? $$$

That seams reasonable. what is the warentee on somthin like that, I have done quite a bit of readin on it. it seems like it is interferrence proof. I wonder how the reciever part holds up to moisture?

Just to be clear I did not get submerged in to puddle it was only a couple of inches deep. I did go out of range once at about 120 yards or so in all fairness though it has a range of about 30% further then 75Mhz FM, radio. It is at a college campus so there is alot of interference the AM radio is only good for 20-30 yards or so.

ya, you also had the antenna in the body. that does limit the range but not to bad. Still to be able to drive out in the rain is good enouf for me. I dident think that you had it submerged I was thinking you ran through about 1 in of watter.

edit: My raido that came with my rustler is junk. it will go about 20 yards or so till it goes out of range. this is funny because I dont live neer anything that would be interferring a lot.
