ORIGINAL: Nightwolf
Dirt-hawgs/works work well on both front and rear, although i'd prefer some Step-pins at the front in case of understeer. What shock set-up you running?

The frames is different and the motor plate which if you had problems with the original ones HPI replaced them. The Evo has the Roto Starter which I like my pull starter better. But I do think that is about it. I do not have the stock motor I have HPI .15 SS, which is much better, then the .15 FE! I know the front A arms are the same because I just broke my first one this week and the part numbers are the same for both. Cannot complaint being it is the first one I broke since it was new 4 or 5 years ago and I have about 5 gallons of fuel throw it. From what I have been told to help with under steer to put softer tires, softer shock springs and or bigger tires in the front. But it does not matter what you do to a 2 wheel drive it will never turn like 4 wheel drive which only makes sense.

When I sent back my chassis they sent me a new motor plate as from what I understand the old one will not work with the new chassis. The new motor plate is cast. There has been several chassis up grades for the original Nitro Rush. What you get now is a black Evo chassis. I actually have the first up dated and the last up dated black Evo chassis. The first up graded was still purple but thicker with the same sorry flat motor plate.

Do the Evo come with tire inserts? My original Rush did not come with them.
Not sure how long the Rush has been out but I think I have one of the very first ones.

The only problem i have with my chasis tray is that the underside has got some serious gauges and scratches, i know thats its job but it would be cool if there was a CHEAP plastic undertray to protect it and stop so much rubbish getting in.....anybody know of any undertrays for the EVo rush?
Other wise i think i may have to have a go at making one, time to sharpen my drawing pencil i think.

I don't know of any undertrays for the Rush...
Well, none of those chassis' really work for me, when I first got my Rush (the original one) I sent in the 2mm after it bent, then I got the 2,5 mm, also bent that one after I put a Picco in there, so after that I built 2 4mm homemade T-6 chassis' which I'm still using, works fine for me...
I still wonder why HPI don't come with a heavy duty 7075 chassis like they do on the
MT(2).

I've had a look round and can't find any undertrays myself, so think i'm going to have a go at making one and see how it goes, as i can't believe there isn't one out there!!
I'm thinking plastic undertray with sides that come up to protect the chasis sides and underneath from scratches etc. If i get anywhere with i'll try and post some photos if anyones interested ?

Team Associated makes a clear chassis protective sheet No. 6312 made or teflon. I have some but never took time to put it on so I do not know how well it works. All my frames are all ready beat up.

As far as the spider (differential) gears go there are two types. The ones in that are for the rush are pot metal. You can get the gears for the MT, which are, cast steal and are much harder. I have an MT and when they came out with the cast steel ones I all so put them in my Rush and hold up much better. You all so get two sets with the steel since the MT has 2 differentials.
These are the good ones. Check the listing and you will see the price is for 2 sets. They are cheaper then buying to sets of the pot metal.

Replaces these. This are the pot metal that are not as good.

The cast metal ones sure are a great replacement when stripped the pot ones. I also got them when I stripped the pot metal gears. Although I use them as a back-up diff in case my ball-diff screws up, they are still going strong. I also think the ball-diff in combination with the HD middle gear is bullet proof, the only downside is that you can't get the outputs seperately, so you'll have to get a whole new ball diff [:'(].

I stripped the middle heavy-duty middle gear and that was when I still had pot metal spider gears and they did not strip. But that is when I up dated to the cast steel spider gears. Right now I have a stock middle gear as that is all I had at the time I fixed it. I do have a middle heavy-duty gear to put in again when it goes.

Cheers man, i gave the undertray a good bashing at the weekend and it did the job
, prevented some serious scratches and marking on the alloy chasis. Also, because the tray comes up the chasis sides and flanges out to meet the inside of the rush evo bodyshell, it cuts down the amount of dust/rubbish etc getting in the car, meaning less cleaning which is cool (an added bonus).
As i have the mould i should be able to make any number of undertray mouldings, i've already made another for my dads rush evo and a couple for other people, and i'm already thinking on how to improve it further !!! I'll try and post some more pics in my gallery as the current pics aren't the best.
If anybody is interested then please get in touch, i have no idea of price yet, but hopefully it should be fairly cheap !!!!

Honestly, i havn't worked out a pice yet, but i'm not looking to make any major profits just enough to cover expenses.
Give me some time to work some details out and we'll sort something. The images were from sunday just gone and after testing i want to make a few mould changes, should also point out that it would be easier and cheaper to supply unpainted and un-cut, but, i'm planning on putting some 'cut' marks on the mould people know where to cut.
I'm so glad theres some interest in it, makes the hard work worthwhile
