the evader is a 3lb truck. if you can break or bend aluminum parts my hats of to you. its gone to be pretty hard to screw up aluminum. the one way you will break aluminum is if you go full speed into a curb. if your just jumping around in your yard you will have a helluva time hurting aluminum. if you do go aluminum you will end up braking the next weakest part in line.

ORIGINAL: cookie monster
if you do leave us you should part out your car. if you repair the engine up your could get more money out of that, then you sell shock towers together then all 4 a arms chassis and so on.

And it's ok, I'm not leaving you guys. I'm just moving on to the monster trucks.
And my dad dosn't want me to have to trucks......
Also once I have the savvy, I'm guessing im not going to use my evader.

Agent, just tell you dad that the resale value isn't worth giving it up. That's the reason I usually hold on to my trucks. I sold my other STs because I only needed 1 truck for the nitro ST class.

the resale value is why i still have mine, i race my 1/8th buggies & use the ST for mucking around. we don't have an ST class at our club yet, the numbers are there, it's just that they never rock up on the same day. it's a pitty, these trucks really improve your skills. if you can drive an ST around the track competitively, you can drive anything.

Dicko, can you post the links to the parts needed to convert to losi CVDs? I'm thinking about switching next time I bend one.

no it wouldnt it has the mounts on the bottom of the case like kyosho engines and would not fit. If u can wait till u get a bit more money definately get the OS18cvrx it will fit straight in and has so much power it is crazy. BTW do u still have your receipt for the evader cause u can send the evader engine of to hobby people to get it replaced or fixed for free all u have to do is pay shipping to there warehouse and send a letter on what happened to it and all your personal details. hope i helped

How old is it.
Try heating it with a hair drier.
You might have it to lean or to rich, put it back to standard setting.
check glow plug.
look for leaks in fuel line.
try some fresh fuel.
try primming it. eather finger over stinger or take the preshure fuel line of and blow in that.
when you pulling the starter cord, move the throtle in and out.

I have the needle 2 turns out and it is only 1 month old! How do I check for leaks in the fuel lines, there appears to be none. What type of glow plug is a good replacment for the stock one?

Yeah for the HSN ( high speed neddle) that sounds about right, for the LSN (low speed neddle)
have it flush with the end of the brass nut. And have the Idle neddle around 1.5mm open.
Now thats only the starting point so if your car is running like crap, dont stress.
From then on play around with the HSN (High speed neddle) screw it in just a little bit at a time.
and you will notice a world of differnts.
For the leak. If there is a leak (I dont think there is becuase it sounds like a tunning prob) you will
see little bubbles from the fuel line.......
Also check the slipper clutch.
And the glow plug is and OS#8

Why would the slipper clutch not make the car start? I forgot to say that I went to my hobby shop and the guy gave me a A#3 plug from OS and I read that it is the hottest plug, can this be the problem?

It was just somethink to trubleshoot, I was more aiming towards when the car cuts of.....
Yes that is a problem, only big blocks tend to run on hot plugs.
Get a OS#8.
Did he even ask what engine you have???
Sounds like he dosn't know much.
But i could be wrong.....
