I recently had the same problem on my XXX-NT RTR 2 even though the first 4 tanks didn't. I also thought it was the servo or the trim on the remote but the trim checked out ok, so it ended up being the idling, I simply adjusted it tad and now it idles correctly and doesn't accelerate with out throttling. BTW it might help to post what car you have so people here will know what mechanics are in the car.

throttle trim? Take the air filter off and see how much of an opening there is in the carb. I believe there is only suppose to be 1 mm opening.

One of the things to check is the keeper nut on the throttle linkage. The nut that is around the lsn.
On a new vehicle, those can vibrate loose, and start to give throttle positions problems.
This nut doesn't need thread lock, nor does it need to be 'gorilla tight'. It just needs to be tight enough to hold the linkage.
Good luck.

does the truck move when you put it on the ground?
if it is your idle speed is too high, adjust the carb to get a smaller opening or adjust the throttle trim on your transmitter.
