i want to know who else makes a real working hydraulic rc excavator. i know wedico trucks sells the caterpillar front end loader and dump truck. any info?

There's a few manufacturers of excavators with functioning hydraulics. Most of them are German (surprise, surprise) and the prices are very steep! [:@] The realism and function is equally impressive tho!

Guys:

As I said in the other excavator thread, there are cheap toys, and then usable machines. The toys will be about $50 or less, but cannot function under any respectable loading. The hobby-class ones will run you upwards of 2 grand a pop, depending on how many options you buy.

Ask the guys in http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rctruc...tructionequip/ as many have the assorted units by Wedico, Leimbach and a few other companies.

I would love to get my hands on the RC Liebherr 922 Excavator kit with the acessories or a similar kit. I know these are pricey, but I got the money and the desire to buy one. I already have the 8 channel radio and receiver.

Does anyone know where I can buy these other than from the websites that are given in this thread? So, far, all I've gotten was the run around. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've been working on a CAT 345D Excavator which is mostly built. I have to order parts such as micro servos, etc. which brings this project to a halt until I get them. I have a feeling that I'm going to need an 8 channel radio, though the sellers are saying 6 channels. I was going through all of the functions on the excavator and I'm counting enough that would require 8 channels.

Does anyone know a good radio to use for my RC model? Thanks.

Gawd, I wished I hadn't bought this thing. But, since I've had to modify in order to make parts work smoothly, I'm stuck with it.
