Ugh... So I went with the craigslist jato... I knew there was gonna be problems...
Okay so the engine seems to run great, but dies when I hit the brakes. So what could this be? It idles okay, seems a little high, I have been messing with the HSN and got it to run fine until I hit the brakes.
Also the clutch seems to take alot of RPM to engage.
Should I just plan on rebuilding the clutch? Any idea if that would fix the brake problem?
The linkage obviously needs adjustment, gonna work on it tomorrow.
2nd question, the truck came with revo shocks, is this a good mod? It seems to have WAY more dampening than any truck I have ever used (brushless pede, warhead, wheelyking) should I fix this? Use stock shocks? Lighter oil? Different pistons?

there is a throttle stop screw/idle on the carb. Turn that so when you hit the brakes the carb dose not close. Turn it in. And you can watch it move by taking off the airfilter and look straight in to the carb.

maby you can take pic of the shocks ??? because id like to see how to make jato with revo shocks
i got no clue where to start so the pic will give me a little more understanting
For high rpms there is a idle screw turn it to the right

I would just start with checking the clutch and clutch spring. Its real simple on a Jato and may save you a big headache before you go through all the tuning advice your going to get .

Looks like all it needed was a good tune, I ran 3 tanks today and now its running like a beast!
The guy I got it from had it sitting in a closet for a year...
Well I managed to break the front A-arms today, gonna get some RPM arms tomorrow.
I think the clutch needs work, but at least it works now.
Gonna get a set of dirt works or HPI geolanders tomorrow, which would people recommend? I am looking for a good all terrian tire, something I can use 60/40 dirt/asphalt.

revo shocks aren't an upgrade, they're completely wrong for the jato as the suspension is not a pushrod actuated inboard setup
revo shocks will be overdamped, and revo springs would be too stiff
