XXX-NT RTR diff?

XXX-NT RTR diff?
I am new to the ST thing, coming from only 1/8 truggies and monster trucks. Can you change the oil in the diff on a XXX-NT RTR2 to silicone? If so, HOW and what weight is good?

no you cant the xxxnt dif is a dry diff other then white greese on the thrust and diff balls and black ae stealth greese on the gear faces .

I use AE silicon diff greaseon the diff gear/rings and AE black grease on the thrust and alot of other poeple do too and I put AE silicon on the gear faces.

I put no grease on the gears themselves. Grease attracts dirt, dirt=wear
And, since I've yet to see anybody come out and say it, but ti's a ball differential. if you try putting fluid inside it...it won't hold it very long
