Default Best off-road tire? (Jato)

So I know the Jato is fast, most of us do. However while I like the speed, I want a little more off-road capability. I know it's no 4x4 truck, but a little height and traction off-road never hurt anyone. Can someone suggest a capable off-road tire that will work well and maybe sit the truck up a little higher? I would prefer to stay 2.8" or taller...never been a big fan of the 2.2" wheels. (Although if it's my only option I guess I'll have to use it). What about a full set of Nitro Stampede wheels and tires?

There are not many options that are that good in 2.8

Also 2.2 will arguably be better off road, more flex to grip and more cushion from the added 'rubber'. Most off road tires are the same diameter in 2.2 as 2.8, if not 2.2 being taller sometimes.

I use Moabs, they are good, look killer, but really I think there has to be something better. The center line of lugs wear out way too quick.

I think it all depends on where you run.

Badlands, Masher2000, Chisel in G8 are new and 5.4" tall, looks great.

Post pics when you get new tires!

Bowties are killer for dirt, and only dirt in my experience. Anything else and they are bald in no time, great for tracks and thats about it.

He did say OFFROAD tire. It really depends on what you are running on though. For hardpacked, holeshots, for loose/loomy, bowties. I WOULD NOT get stamped tires, way to big.

again, terrible tires for anything but the track, rocks and gravel will tear those little lugs right off. An off road style tire like I listed above will be better for bashing
