Default Lets Talk RC10GT

Last year I rebuilt my RC10GT as some of you know (project 506) now I'm thinking of redoing my GT again but with better parts, the original engine is going to stay not planing of getting no other engine for it as long as I have it or at least no other than the .15 Thunder Tiger. Well I wanted to make this thread so like me people could share some Hints and Tips about our rides, for example I want to make my GT as close to a Baja 500 as possible now for that I need to know several stuff like witch Piggy Back shocks will fit the GT?, How can I put thinner rims in front of my GT and where can I get them.

If you have any upcoming project of your GT and whant to share your knowledge with us please do so.

This is why I whant to redo my GT again, look what I found if you love these Baja Bug style check what Pro Line got for us.The Baja Bug is back with the same style, quality, and features as it had the first time around and is now officially licensed by Volkswagen®. The Volkswagen® Baja Bug Clear Body is available for:

They look like they may fit but I have never used them personally. I have heard that they leak but then I have sean others on here that have had good results with them. You may also want to check out this link http://www.hobbyetc.com/cgi-bin/cata..._id=22&man=all

I still have the original RC10GT black tub chassis too! They're gettin' to be pretty rare nowadays. I think everyone ran the snot out of 'em long ago! It's still a great truck though, I've managed to keep mine in like new condition.

Quietnas1, why did you sell the black tub chassis GT and keep the blue chassis? The black tub chassis version is a LOT more rare than the blue.[&:]

I kept the Blue TUB chassis which I have never seen. Its not the Blue open chassis. I think Im gonna start rebuilding it and keep the Savage on hold till Christmas. I really want the savage but I also really want to rebuild the RC10GT in all aluminum. I will start ordering parts tomorrow.

Thanks for your comment, yeah about the beed lock wheels I'm searching hard once I get to them I'll let you know, about your classics RC10GT man! what can I say, don't let go of that blue one seriously that thing is super rare. I think your doing a wise decision on rebuilding that GT I know cuz I'm doing the same with mine like I said my goal is a Baja 500 and it will be done.

I'm gonna give this a try. The first time I put the 2.8 Jato wheels on my old GT I went to Boca Bearings for the front wheels. They are about a half hour from me but they were able to find some bearings that fit nice and snug. For the rear wheels I had used Traxxas adapters. Whish I still had it but I sold it to ilanstylz another member here. He is taking good care of it and now I'm ready to restore the one I have now. Hey MMTGUNS great thread man.
