The S-maxx is a 2WD car, the T-maxx is a 4WD car....... that is the only real difference

I have a few T- Maxxs and an S Maxx. They are both alot of fun but man the S- Maxx is a squirelly lil devil. The parts are completely interchangeable between the two, which is really nice if you have a T.

From what I have heard, it is the same car but the S-Maxx is 2wd. Talk about innovation from Traxxas.

I have an S-Maxx. It's been an awesome truck for me. The S-Maxx just doesn't have reverse and the front dogbones/driveshafts have been removed. It seems to take quite a bit more abuse than the T-Maxx as well. I guess fewer parts=less problems. All the S-Maxx parts are the same as the T-Maxx parts.

S-maxx and T-maxx are same truck with a different body, if you put reverse and 4wd in your s-maxx, you will have a T-maxx.  The S-maxx is a great truck though, without the extra parts its very light.

Nitro is pretty strait forward, just maintain your truck well and you will be fine.
