That might work for awhile... I ran into problems with my nitro sport waaay back when (13 years ago) with the exhaust. The rubber coupler started to get hard and brittle and ended up cracking. I never had a problem with it coming apart, it just cracked and leaked. Instead of replacing the coupler every couple of months I just took the stock exhaust off and put a MIP stinger 360* pipe kit on it. This provided a boost in power and sounded better than the stock stuff. It ran even better once I ported the pro .15.

where is the exhaust coming loose at, the connection where the rubber pipe connects to the plastic muffler or where the rubber pipe connects to the metal header (off the engine)?

where the pipe connects to the pipe. I put some silicone on so it think that it will stay. its at the shop, hopefully getting fixed. If it doesn't work when it gets back i will get a motor.

ok so first what you should do is take the glow plug out and take out the rings that should be inside,there should be a way to look in the motor ifyou shine a flash light in it and there are seals that could be busted if that is your problem your looking at paying any where from 50-80 dollars to get them replaced or get a new motor........................ or you can take it in where you got it and pay 5-8 dollars for them to check for anything.

the hobbyplace where i live charges25$ and hour. when i got the rc back they guy said oh ya i got it fixed just when you want to go full speed you have to go to half throtle then go all the way to full throtle u have to go very slowley. if a person that had been in the hobbie bussiness for years can't fix it, then i really don't think that i can.I CANNOTwait till this engine blows. where are the seals so i can check them.

i just got done running it. it is defintally tuned better, but tif i go from idle to WOT it dies. To get it to run at WOT i have to go to half then go to WOT. i was also doing some dounguts and after about three seconds of WOT during the dounguts it would start to bog. The guy that worked on it had no clue why it was doing this, and i don't eather. please don't tell me that there is nothing that i can, do because if really want to be able to push the throtle trigger to WOT when ever i want

I would turn your high speed neeedle counter clock wise 1/16 of a turn. Then run it for a few minutes to let everything settle and see if it runs better or worse. I guess that it will run better keep going untill your happy. But remember to do very small movements at a time and run it for a couple of miutes to let the new adjustments make there way

ok, i guess i will keep fiddling with it. Are these engines nortoursly hard to tune. Everone else seems to have a really good time with the nitro sport except me. The hobby guy said that that was probably the best that i would be able get it running. so far it's slogan : Fast, easy , fun has been a complete lie, expecially the "fun", and "easy" part. Well im really sick of it, and im about ready to give up. its never run right.

do you think that it has something to do with the temapture. is starting to dip in to the teens do you think that i should put a sock over the motor

I never had a problem tuning my pro .15 until the compression got so low when warm it would just quit for no reason. With the engine cold, it would scream. Though I had the MIP pipe on it which helped give it more power but it always tuned well until it was just flat-out worn out. I have a 2.5R with a worn out sleeve - It'll start and run fine from cold but once it gets hot it gets really boggy and overheats and is a real pain to restart when warm not to mention you can't get a "perfect tune" with it no matter how hard you try. When I run into a hard-to-tune engine I eliminate air leaks. Check the fuel tank, make sure all of the screws in the engine are tight (carb, head, and backplate), replace fuel lines & glow plug, and try some fresh fuel. If you have a gallon jug of fuel you've been running, go buy a quart of either the same thing or a different brand. Fuel will go bad if left in a partially full container for a long time. If there are no leaks, and you've tried new fuel & line, and a new plug and you still cant get it tuned then I would think the piston and sleeve might be worn out. Without hearing the engine run, thats the best I can suggest. If you have a way of taking a video and posting a link to it, someone might be able to better diagnose the problem. Sometimes just hearing what its doing can make a huge difference on determining the problem and fixing it. Not all guys that work at hobby stores can tune an engine OR explain how to do it. The place I bought my nitro sport from was the only store I knew of at the time and took the info they gave me as gospel. I later found out they didnt really know what they were doing and gave me the wrong advice which made me send my engine in to exchange it and I didnt really need to do it since it only had 7 tanks through it. (I was an ultra n0ob.) <shrug> Don't know what else to tell you.

That could be a possibility but didnt it have the same problem before it started to get cold? I rarely have to put anything on the heads of my engines - they temp and run just fine without it as long as you dont flip the car and stick the engine in the snow (I run mine with the body on the car in winter to keep some of the heat in). Without a temp gun/gauge, its hard to judge if the engine is getting hot enough. Best thing to do here is put 5 or 6 drops of water or spit on the head by the glow plug. if it doesnt sizzle at all or takes a long time (more than 5-6 seconds) to burn off, its not getting warm enough and you'll need a sock on the head. I think a good time to have it burn off at optimum temps is 2-4 seconds or so. This is just an estimate.

Well i won't be able to take a video because the motor has stoped running. I think that the slipper clutch is broken because if i set the truck on the ground wile idling it stops runnin. Oh yeah and the EZ start has stoped working completly. The guy that looked at it has been in RC for like 15 years or somethng like that, so i think that he knew what he was doing. I'll probably just sell this thing, maybe save up and buy an HPI firestorm or something other than a nitro sport. It was running really good, and then this happend. What do you think would be a fair price for me to sell this for?

Your clutch spring is broken. Replace it at once!
