need help!!!!!
I just recently got a duratrax nitro evader st. Its been running really good but it wheelies on asphalt a little to much for my liking. I tried and loosened the slipper clutch but it just seems like no matter what it wont slip. I can take off the spring and it still wont slip. I also cant get the the whole slipper clutch off without really scratching the whole thing up. Any ideas on what i should do????? thanks

ok................does anybody have any real ideas why i cant get it to slip?

RE: need help!!!!!
no, lol your truck shouldn't be doing wheelies that much, if it is running really hot, RICHEN IT and that would give it less power and won't do weelies as easily. my friend has a nitro evader st and it won't wheelie on pavement on command.

RE: need help!!!!!
no its actually running on the rich side and stays pretty cool 210-230 range. i just cant get the slipper clutch to slip. i i get absolutly no traction on dirt because it just spins the tires. and im really having touble getting the slipper pads off.

RE: need help!!!!!
well... just dont hit the throttle as hard :p
sounds like the slipper is fused. pull it apart, replace the pads and adjust from there. im not familiar with the evader so I cant really help you out too much. you might have to soak the pads in soemthing to get the glue to debond (alcohol?) oh.. and you are the first person that I know of that complains about wheelies :D |
