Rustler setup

1 Attachment(s)
Does anyone have some advice on how to set up the Traxxas Nitro Rustler? I have a Fantom .12 engine and a JR XR3 radio system. Everything else is stock.

RE: Rustler setup

I mean like the kind of information you'd have on a setup sheet, like springs, shock placement, shock spacing, spur/pinion gear setup, tires, fuel, and performance hop-ups. As for the j hose, I know, I've already been having problems with it, like it cracking and leaking all over the place. I'm going to get the Team Associated low-end tuned pipe, the Traxxas side exhaust manifold (the blue one that comes with their exhaust system), and a CVEC coupler.

Here is some info on my first mod, It's a robinson racing 72t spur. You have to file the corner's of the top shaft very little to get the bearing on. The gear is heavier so it carries more inertia and gives the car quicker throttle response at high speed.

RE: Rustler setup

Does anyone have any kind of setup info other than hop-ups, like suspension setup? I'm trying to get the Rustler to handle as good as I can, but it's kinda hard. I've heard that the aluminum steering system helps a lot. Does anyone know if this is true?

RE: Rustler setup

I don't think it's there. I typed in "Nitro Rustler" to get all results that have anything to do with the Rustler and it wasn't in the list. Anywhere else I can check? Also, I still need some setup tips people!

Well, I found the [link=http://www.rc-parts.com/bells.htm]aluminum bellcranks[/link], but I still need some setup tips.
