RC10GT Diff problems
Hi the diff gear in my RC10GT has destroyed itself and thus it needs replacing. Is it worthwhile getting an aluminium one or should i stick with the plastic ones?
Also where would be the best place in UK to get these from? Many thanks rage |
RE: RC10GT Diff problems
if you do swith to alum, it is best to switch all gears in the tranny.

I also am thinking of upgrading my gears to aluminum, but I was told by my lhs that putting 2 aluminum gears together is not good. Does anyone know if this is true? thanks

RE: RC10GT Diff problems
never heard that before. I have heard a million times tho that mixing gears will shorten the life of both of them. I have heard different theories about the proper way to lube alum. gears

RE: RC10GT Diff problems
well if mixing two aluminum gears myth is true it wont be a problem because you only have 1 aluminum gear one titanium and one hardened steal. go to tower hobbies they ship international and they have the tranny rebuild you want:D
