Winter Setup !
Hey there guys i was thinking for in the winter i would get the lawn roller out ( a large heavy drum used to roll out bumps in lawns) and make a snow coarse the roller would be used to pack down the snow, also i think u could make some killer jumps. But then i got thinking and relized i need to get some hefty tires on here to get traction. So i looked and found a few options that might work swell first off is these beasts (make note my truck is a Mt-2).
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDT99&P=7 Then use something with less traction on the front so u can still steer. and no i cant use those ski's because my truck is all wheel drive. Or another idea i had would be to just use 4 of these bad boys. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDT92&P=7 And these wheels would be mounted on these rims http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWX57&P=7 What do you guys think about my idea's and do u guys have any ideas of your own or sugesstions? oh and what suspension setup should i use for in the snow? Thanks Guys |

RE: Winter Setup !
paddle tires are great for a loosely packed track an 1" or more deep.
but if your gonna pack it down with a lawn roller you might want to consider the paws or trac-gators with small link chains wrapped around the tires. say a 4 or 5 track pattern. this works well on hard packed snow and or ice. another solution would be to get some old worn out tires (not like we dont all have those laying around) and either go with the chain plan or dismount the tires and insert some small screws or tacks . put the tire inserts back in and remount the studded sneakers. ski's are available to sub as front tires for 2wd truckers now go make snowcones ! note small spikes/links work best helpfull hints from your helpfull R/C man. sing along wont you ,whistle if ya dont know the words TRX250R |
