Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
Is it possible to do some drifting with the Nitro Evader? Would sedan wheels fit onto it? then id need 26mm wheels + 2 inch diameter ABS Tubing right?

RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
get some ~3inch PVC pipe and SQUEEZE it in there(with tires still attached).

RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
I know this thread is old but I am about to get a Nitro Rustler and wanna know if trucks can drift... It'd be a helluva spectacle in the neighborhood I think. Any advice other then what's mentioned here? Has anyone actually succeeded in drifting a Nitro truck?

RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
you have to have 3WD in order to drift RC's if you make the rear wheels slippery on an evader all you will do is doughnuts and spin out
|
RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
what is rc drifting exactly?
|
RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
ha ha ha thats a good question. i dont know but im getting the idea that its... well like just sliding.... all the time.
|
RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
hey that sounds like way more fun than corners and jumps, just wearing out tires.... are you guys really interested in this? how can your engine stay cool if your not moving just burning tires?
|
RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
you aint burning rubber, you going fast into a turn but sliding side-ways, thats what drifting is about, thats why they have foam tires, stiffer suspension, and 3wd, if its 4wd its hard to get it to drift, cuz you have 2 wheels trying to pull it out the slide, 2wd will never drift, it will if you get lucky, the only place a 2wd will drift is in sand

RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
nitro rustler get your facts straight,in real life drifting 2wd rules because you can oversteer and break the traction of the tires and slide, and were the hell do i find a 3wd[&:],and in r/c drifting 4wd rules because you got 2tires pulling and 2 pushing so it's easier to get the car side ways and keep it going,i've been driving 2wd for my 2+years in r/c's and i still have trouble drifting, and to awnser you questoin yes you can just get small tires and get them bald of get some pvc pipe;)

RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
ummm...i ment 4WD not 3WD i was in a hurry sorry(embarised)....runs away swiftly....:D
ha ha ha that would be kinda funny...he he he 3WD he he he |
RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
it's cool i was saying that to nitro rustler racer he doesn't know anything about r/c car drifting or real car drifting,i've spent years on 240sx.org and have learned much about drifting in those years;)

RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
Hi
Drifting is easy. I do it all the time with my HPI Savage, and yes I do know what drifting is. |
RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
i manage to get my xtr3e to do small drift about 4feet long where as my electric tc3 does drift about 25ft long
|
RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
yea i know real drifting you want 2WD but for RC you wany 4WD just take that and run with it so you may want too buy 4WD kit or something if you want to drift and run your evader normally.

RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
How are you supposed to do the PVC thing?
|
RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
measure your tires go to a store that sells pvc buy the right size pvc and push the pvc on and go drift away;)
|
RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
well trucks can drift, and although I don't know anything about drifting, I tried to drift my nitro evader on a gravel baseball diamond and it didn't work, I think you need 4wd to drift, but as I said, I have no drifting experience

RE: Is it possible to Drift an Evader?
I have watched drifting on TV, all the import cars.... seriously its so god damn stupid in my opinion, its hard on the car, a waste of money and tires. why not just race a road coarse?
