Engine trouble

My Nitro Evader starts right away but as soon as the engine gets warm and the first run is complete it takes forever to get restarted. Is there anything I can do to get the engine refired quicker?

RE: Evader Engine

....let it cool down. MOST engines are fussy about re-starting warm.

I bet the piston and sleeve are worn down it's very common with DTX .18's. I ended up buying a WASP .18 ($100)it's a direct bolt on and LOTS more power. How much fuel have you ran through it probably 1 3/4 a gallon. When you run it does it over heat easily? It's very common with DTX .18's and it's usually the piston sleeve. Try to fix it some other way first, but send it back to the factory to get the sleeve replaced if you still have the warrenty. The sleeve is made of cheap copper so it doesn't last long. Once again don't go out and buy a knew motor. Try typing in " DTX .18 engine problems" in the search box, I had this problem a few months ago with my car and posted a thing here and they knew exactly the problem i'd read throught it it's got tons of troubleshooting.

mine does it alot. do this let it cool own so the head is warm, then prime it a little bit and give full throttle and start it as soon as the engine starts let of the throttle or just put the trim up all the way it works fine its just i got my bro helping me start it somtimes and he gives full throttle an it start right up

Buy a starter box, and start using it to start the engine. They work way, way better!! All my pullstart motors are a ***** to start once they are hot, I use the starter box, and bingo, they start immediately!

i like pull starts cuz all you need is a glow starter and fuel an you can go anywhere with a starter boox you got to bring fuel ingitor and the heavy box, pull start easier:D
