Needle setting with 30%
 

Im using 30% Team sidewinder Fuel with 12% oil because thats all that I could get at the time. My LHS told me to run My X-C High speed needle at 3 or 3.5.
but i put it at about 3.5 or 3.75, i put it at 3+ and it duznt rev high at all. What do u think I should set it at right now while its about -10 C outside? and how low is safe?

sorry i meant that i put it at 2.5 or 2.75(wen it works good)

needles can't be set by what people tell you, they vary even with identical engines. you need to tune it where it works best.

They probably meant that as a base setting for you to start and tune it at.

^^^ What they said. If what they told you at the lhs got your truck started, then kudos to them. Now it's up to you tune it to where it runs best.

OK, then 2.5 is about the richest it wants to run.
