RE: Small Jato Problem
That stinks.. Call traxxas they'll send you parts quick, or just get them off tower.
Talk about rocks!! That chassis is incredibly scratched up!! [X(] You have the same rear tire set up as mine.. Doesn't it rock? |
RE: Small Jato Problem

Ive been bashing and jumping too. I just make sure I land in the grass:D. Look at the difference. This is after about 20 tanks and about 60 to 70 jumps.

thanks fo the complments. the chassis is scrached up because i land on dirt. i love the tire setup, it works great. here are some more pics. n e one here know if there are any aluminim (kant spel), titanium, or metal parts that would fit what im missing? i want to replace all the suspention arms in both the front and rear to metal. also, their is aa pretty cool roll cage:
http://www.neweramodels.com/cgi-bin/...a&part_id=2718 any metal replacments for this car would be awsome. please tell the name and hopefully a link. thanx :D |
RE: Small Jato Problem
New era has very stiff prices on their $1.53 material cost products. You could make your own out of small piping at menards.

RE: Small Jato Problem
your the second guy that broke the rear arm
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Some...2962805/tm.htm Looks like the rear arms is the weak link in the jato...anybody else broke that bit?. once rpm makes the arms for the jato it'll be selling like hotcakes..... """"Om3ga wonders if rpm is part of the traxxas network """"""" |
RE: Small Jato Problem
the arms in the jato are very strong i just pushed mine a little to hard and am getting new parts today from ultimate hobbies, www.ultimatehobbies.com, best hobby store. i got my jato 1.5 weeks before other hobby stores got them.

RE: Small Jato Problem
Cant believe the bottom of the chassis looks like that. I've been over all sorts of stuff and bottoming out and my butt dont look that bad! You must beat that thing like a red headed stepchild. :D
|
RE: Small Jato Problem
Yeah that chassis is ABUSED...you need some thicker oil in those shocks for sure...
|
RE: Small Jato Problem
u asked wat i think, and i say its pretty broke. if u put packin tape on the bottom of the chassis it dont get scratched. but who needs a good ano job in a part u dont see (hopefully) wen ur runnin
|
RE: Small Jato Problem
I snapped mine in the same exact place! I glued it with CA glue, and then used capasil and resin to make fiberglass, and glassed over it, with a wooden splint, so it should be able to last until I get some parts :D
