RE: need help
try trimming the radio for abit higher idling. Can't really say what's the problem.Have you done this checklist?
1. Does the carb close all the way when you brake? [ re adjust the throttle servo or the idling screw on the carb ] 2. Is your motor running too rich? [ Motor floods over and the glow plug fouls thus the motor dies....lean it] tell us more... . Is the rpm right?.Is the throttle servo stripped? |
RE: need help
Sounds like your idle stop is set wrong. With the engine OFF, take off your air filter. Put on the brake, and look in the carb. There should still be a 1-2mm gap for fuel/air to go through. If it is completely closed you need to set the idle stop so that there is a 1-2 mm gap there.

RE: need help
More than likely your throttle brake linkage is not adjusted correctly. I would reset the linkage and retune the engine to run with the throttle (carb) completely closed then go from there. Usually what happens is the engine is tune with the throttle slightly opened then when the brake is applied it pulls the throttle completely closed thus cutting the engine. I have seen many people struggle with this issue and it can be aggravating to say the least.
I hope this helps. |
