Hey Im planning on buying a new ST,just finish electrics, WHICH YOU GUYS THINK IS DURABLE,FUN TO BASH AROUND THE STREET, AND EASIER TO CLEAN AND MAINTAIN? Im new to this need your help. RTR only because im to nitro. Your Experiences which do you guys think is worth it?

I just bought a used XXX-NT for 150 with an .12 CV-R engine in it and it wheelies like crazy also its crazy fast..so far its good but I only have ran it one time..lol

i voted 10gt but the kyosho ultims is quite good but most parts are discontinued! [&o]

Evaders are great cars. Not quite as durable as a rc10gt but in my experiences they are slightly faster. The DTX .18 is a great RTR engine too.

RC10GT. Excellent truck. Fairly durable, very fast, highly upgradeable, and can be raced with ease if desired.

DTX 18 powered Evader will destroy an AE 15 powered GT in a drag race any day of the week.
and twice on sunday:D

I voted for the Rustler. It is a great first nitro. It was one of my first and is still one of my favorite. Lots of people bash the rustler and say it breaks alot. It does not ... once you learn to drive. No matter what you get you will break alot early on. After a bit that goes away... except for the time to time when you have too much fun :D
Also look at the Jato... It is very very durable for an ST - but may be a bit fast for a beginner...

I have been very pleased with my Nitro Evader.

I have a HPI nitro MT and a traxxas nitro sport and a Duratrax nitro evader. But none of them have their stock engines nor did they ever have their stock engines. The 2wd ST's are great to race against eachother but there is no way they have better handling than the 4wd HPI MT trucks.
For bashing I'd go with the HPI nitro MT2, but if you have someone to race against that has a 2wd ST, I'd get either an evader (cheap to fix, and most everyone carries the main parts), or the RC10GT (more expensive to fix, a bit harder to find parts, but proven race truck).
The nitro evader, RC10GT, and the HPI nitro MT/MT2 all have aluminum (some titainium) upgrade parts available (if if they aren't available they will be soon). I'm thinkin about selling (or part out) 2 of my trucks. I don't have enough time to drive 3, and I only need/want a race truck.

I voted traxxas nitro rustler. All rtr stadium trucks will have about the same durability. So I voted the rustler because it is the fastest out of the box. I own an hpi nitro mt. I think of the ones you have listed that is the funnest to bash because it is 4 wheel drive over 2 wheel drive which will allow you to do more things with. This car isnt race legal because it is a 4wd stadium truck but I am hoping that roar will make a racing class for these as more and more companies are jumping into this asped of stadium trucks. If you went with an mt I would highly recommend the nitro mt .18ss edition since you will be installing your own electronics. If you plan on putting any hop-ups on and plan to race in the future I would go with the xxx-nt. If you plan on putting hop-ups on just to bash I would go with the rc10 gt.

it has alot of things stock that are hop-ups for the rc10gt but no, if it had all the hop-ups you could do for that car that would be one spendy kit.

RC10GT all the way its super easy to maintain and has loads of hop ups from a bunch of companies and you can have race ready without adding alot to it

I have both 2 and 4 wheel drive and neither are hard to drive but the 4 wheel drive handles much better. :D

Not gonna happen. at least not an RTR.
I have a feeling a new pro-level Nitro ST is coming from Associated...but it won't be an RTR until a while after it's released.
