XTM EXCELERATOR HELP

I CAN'T GET MY TRUCK TO HAVE ANY GRAB ON ANY SURFACE OTHER THAN CONCRETE. IT SPINS OUT ALL THE TIME AS SOON AS YOU GIVE A LITTLE THROTTLE. I HAVE BACKED OFF THE SLIPPER CLUTCH QUITE A BIT, CHANGED TO MORE AGGRESIVE TIRES, LOOSENED THE DIFF A BIT, AND I STILL JUST SPIN OUT EVEN WITH THE MOST SUTTLE THROTTLE. ANY ONE OUT THERE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HAVE DEALT WITH THIS IN THE PAST?

You can soften the rear springs a little allowing it to squat a little more giving it more traction. If you are running the stock engine it's a beast and has way more power than needed in the small truck so throttle control is key. Just lower the rear abit by unscrewing the preload on the shocks a little and that should help alot.

RE: XTM EXCELERATOR HELP

I had the same problem when trying to run the X-C at my local track, hard packed clay very dusty and slippery. Seem to have it dialed in pretty good now with the following settings:

Front:
20 weight shock oil (10 is standard)
1 degree toe out
Stiffer front springs (to get a bit of weight transfer to the back)
Proline Edge tyres

Rear:
20 weight shock oil
4 degree toe in rear arm mounts
stock springs
Proline Holeshot tyres
Shock moved to most upright position on shock tower

I got all of this info from the XTM X-C forums at:
