I have trhe DTX .18 thing Nitro Evader....why does the brass thing that the Low speed needle is set in move when the throttle is moved (the black thing)?

that is also the nut that holds the throttle arm on the carb tight. if it didn't move, neither would the black arm on the carb.

I just can't stand for a dirty truck. It's got to be clean in my book if I am going to drive it (except the rear-right shock where the exhaust dumps oil and stuff... boy, is that hard to clean!). :)

I don't think it is supposed to move the screw, but I can't be sure. I've only seen the 2.5 engine and my T-15 engine actually run, but the 2.5 has a slide-valve carburetor and the T-15 has a rotary but the screw is on the other side. Maybe it is though... I just can't be sure.

Dirty? I've only had my truck two days and it's a lot dirtier than that. And my engine is a different brand, but it moves the same as yours, just how they work.

Ok i dont think this is normal when i put on throttle the whole brass thing turns with the LSN and the linkage?...it moves the brass out and then back in?

Hah, George, it's just a personal preference. I've seen nitro engines ten times dirtier than that, and I'll post a picture of my engine tomorrow to show you what I mean by clean.

Evaderstbasher, I'm not sure about that. Is the brass fitting actually pulling away from the carburetor? Is it moving towards the fuel tank when you pull the throttle? Rotary carburetors rotate the inside of the carburetor (obviously), so the brass thing should stay around the screw as it is in the picture. But it should move, not out but turn with the screw.

Tomorrow, if need be, I'll go check and post a picture or two of my MT2, which has a rotary carburetor, so you can see what a carburetor is supposed to act like.

Screw it im getting a new engine from duratrax anyway...they screwed me over and im getting a new one!...carb and all just what i wanted!!:D

OS .18 CVRX rotary carb model 11j standard crankshaft. Manufacturer stock number: 11880. Direct fit in your vader. Have fun with that

Well, I just looked on mine, I got all the electronics back on it. The little brass fitting on mine does that as well, but it doesn't look like it is going to fall off or anything. The bolt (in place of your screw) moves with it as well. If your carburetor is working properly, then I wouldn't worry about it. Not any until I see fuel leaking out of it anyways... ;)

Here are some pictures of my freshly cleaned truck. This is how I like 'em. It isn't that clean because I didn't take everything off and completely wipe down the chassis; I didn't have time to do that this time. However, after it gets dirty again, I'll probably do that. Cleaning the fuel tank and surrounding areas is what really gets you... Haha! :D

Well that isn't what i have it is close, but mine is shorter that the coupler end is different.

Sorry, but what you mean by the coupler end is the pink thing, correct? Or are you talking about the actual end of the pipe where there is a groove. If you're talking about the pink thing, then it should be because that's the stock one I had on my MT2. I'm guessing you mean the end of the pipe, though.
