New Engine Problem
I have just broken it my cv-rx on my evader adn it wont start after I ran 5 tanks through it. The fuel it going to the carb and the glow starter is fine. Also the glow plug lights up too. Could it have anything to do with it running to lean? If I richen the carb will it start easier? Closing the needle on the carb means its getting leaner right?

RE: New Engine Problem
would it have hurt the engine if I had been leaning out the engine during break in. Also would hurt the engine if I revved it up a little too high during break in. Just a question

RE: New Engine Problem
I could be wrong but during break in you should just let it idle through the 5 tanks not give it gas. That what i was told to do and my engine is in great condition. I have had it for 3 years now.

RE: New Engine Problem
In my opinion the only way to break in an engine is heat cycle! I think you will find out that most people that have been in this hobby for some time will agree. All so when breaking in an engine it is not uncommon to have to lean it out some but only enough to make or keep it running. If you read most direction on motors they will say this.
Heat cycle do a search on this form. |
