MT2 ground clearance.

been having some problems with getting my MT2 around our backyard track. sorry for the noob **** that will follow.

i should first say that the track i run on was built mostly for 1/8 scale monster trucks so the jumps are pretty tall. however they shouldn't be too tall for a stadium truck, and they seem to be. any time i go off one of the two major jumps i bottom out... basically boucing the chassis off the dirt.

i've been trying to get the thing a little higher in the air and so far i have decided to get a taller wheel and tire combo, but i would also like to do some shock mods. last night i refilled them with 40 weight oil and that has made them a little firmer.

would it be a good idea to get shocks with more travel, stiffer springs, or add spring spacers to the stock shock/spring to preload the suspension, or do one of each?

thanks for yer advice. :D

RE: MT2 ground clearance.

i put spacers in mine. i also mounted the shocks on the a arms and shock towers so i could get as much ground clearance as possible.
