RE: XTM XC Problem
Since it won't release your engine could be flooded or even hydrolocked. Lets hope not, but try to get the gas out then start it.

ORIGINAL: annie_himself Since it won't release your engine could be flooded or even hydrolocked. Lets hope not, but try to get the gas out then start it. If this is the problem, take out the glow plug and give the engine a few tugs. Fuel will spray out, then reinstall the plug and try again. Also, I would carefully take off the starter. As you are taking it off, try not to disturb any of the internal parts on the starter as re-coiling it is a pain. Usually when I do this the oneway bearing is remaining on the starter shaft. From here you can try to turn the bearing in order to see if it is functioning properly. Ryan |

I have had a bunch of xcs They are a good truck but the weak link is the pull start. Mine have run much better after I tore that pice of crap off.

RE: XTM XC Problem
One pull for me and a screw is still missing. The HPI Roto-Start fits perfect.

hi all
the engine is difinitley not hydrolocked or flooded, it is definitley the one way bearing, i cant even got it off the crankshaft![X(] Help please! |
RE: XTM XC Problem
Hmm, find a flat head screwdriver and see if you can pry or pull it off with that. If that doesnt work, find a hammer and GENTLY tap it on every side of the nut. It should come loose eventually!
